On July 2nd, 2016, Ripples Ice Cream Parlor owner Tom Peterson held a car show intended for local car owners only. The show was sponsored both by Ripples and by NAPA Auto Parts which is next door to the ice cream parlor. We all had such a good time in 2016, that Tom decided to host a second annual show on June 24th, 2017. It too was a great success, and the cars on display were an eclectic group indeed. I, for one, am really looking foward to Local Yokels 3 in 2018.
Even the local rural fire deparment got in the act.
